Intro to Sandtray Play Therapy

This presentation will review the history and principles of sandtray play therapy and review how to use the technique with clients. It will outline the materials needed for this model of treatment and how to process the work with the client.

- Identify materials used in sandtray play therapy.
- Identify what populations to use sandtray play therapy and understand what treatment issues will be addressed in utilizing these play therapy techniques.

About our presenter: Dr. Hutchison has been specializing in children and play therapy for over 20 years. She founded the Michigan Play Therapy Training Academy in 2015 to help fellow mental health professionals on their pursuits to gain training in play therapy. She has presented on play therapy and working with children at the National and International level. Along with running the Training Academy, Dr. H also manages her group practice, HutcHison & Associates.
